Lunar is the first Nordic bank to enable users to donate to charity through their own consumption.
Project Blue is an initiative that gives you the opportunity to help reduce plastic in the oceans around us. You do this through contributions based on your purchases with your Lunar debit card. It happens automatically, so you don't have to think about it. Project Blue is a part of Lunar Earth, which is an umbrella for the initiatives we continuously undertake to contribute to a more sustainable world.
Here's how it works
✅ Contribute using your card
You can contribute between 1 and 5 kroner for every 1000 kr. you spend.
✅ Lunar contributes to your donation
We add 2% on top of all your contributions.
✅ Shared environmental goals
We support a variety of good causes that benefit the environment.
How to get started with Project Blue
Open your Lunar app and select 🔍 in the top right corner of the screen.
Find Project Blue and click here.
There, you can read more about how Project Blue works and what initiatives we have started with Lunar users' contributions. Click Select your contribution to get started.
Choose how much you want to contribute. You choose a contribution between 1-5 kr. per 1000 kr. you spend with your cards. Lunar will donate an additional 2% of your contribution, which will be added to your donation. This way, together we contribute to cleaning the oceans around us from plastic and waste.
Once you've made your selection, click Continue.
On the next page you can read our terms of use. Once you have read them, click Continue at the bottom of the page.
That's it! You are now contributing to Project Blue and making a difference every time you use your card.

Will I be charged a fee for contributing?
No, you won't. There is no fee to activate or cancel your donation to Project Blue. In addition, Lunar does not charge a fee for users to be a part of Project Blue.
