At Lunar, we send international payments via various payment networks โ including local payment channels, SWIFT, and SEPA.
How and where precisely a payment can be traced depends on the type of transfer used:
Local Payment Channels: Many payments are sent today via local rails, making them both faster and often easier to trace. Contact our customer service, and we'll help you investigate where the payment is located.
SWIFT MT103 Payments: These are sent as individual transactions with a unique transaction ID (UETR key). This allows us to trace your payment via the SWIFT GPI Tracker to see where it is within the flow.
SEPA Payments: These apply to euro transfers within Europe and are sent collectively, making it harder to trace individual transactions. However, in some cases, we can contact the recipient bank and request a status.
Incoming Payments: If you're expecting money from abroad, we recommend that the sender contact their own bank and request a tracing inquiry. We can assist with the investigation, but need documentation in the form of an MT103 or pacs.008 message, which the sender can obtain from their bank.
If you've sent an international payment and wish to have it traced, contact our customer service โ we'll assist you further.
