Your money is covered by the Danish deposit guarantee up to 100,000 EUR, equivalent to approximately 750,000 DKK, 1 million SEK or 1 million NOK.
How to create an extra account
Open your Lunar app and choose Accounts in the upper menu
Click on Add+ in the bottom, right corner
Choose to create an extra account
You will now be asked to name your account. It's a good idea to choose a meaningful name so you can easily keep track of what you use your different accounts for, e.g. Savings or Spending account.
Customize the look of your new account by choosing a color and an emoji. Tap Next once you've made your selection.
On the next page, an overview of your new account will appear and you can open your account agreement under Details. Swipe right at the bottom of the screen to create your account.
You have now created a new account and can immediately start using it by depositing funds or ordering a card for the account. For each extra account created, a virtual card is included.
You have a 14-day cancellation period when you have purchased an extra account. If you choose to close the account within the first 14 days, the full amount will be refunded if the account has not been used.
If you purchase more accounts than are include in your plan, please note that there will be an additional accounts cost of 19 kr/month.
How to close an extra account
Under the Accounts tab you can see all your accounts, you can find the tab at the top of the app. Find the account you want to close and tap on it.
Tap Details at the top of the screen.
Tap Close account at the top of the screen.
On the next page you can read important information about what happens when you close your account. Swipe right at the bottom of the screen to finalise and close the account.
We will now start closing your account. When the account is closed, we will send you a confirmation email. Tap Done to get back to your Lunar app.
Good to know
When you close your extra account, there is a cancellation period of the current month + 1 month. Until the account is closed, it will still appear in the app and all features will continue to be available until the cancellation period is over.
When your additional account closes, a number of things happen automatically:
All physical and virtual cards linked to the account will be closed.
Account balances will be moved to your primary account.
Payments, recurring and future transfers and payment service agreements will all be moved to your primary account.
If your NemKonto is linked to the account, it will be moved to your primary account.
Unfortunately, if you have made a transfer from an additional account, it will not be possible to prevent the transfer from being completed by closing the account.
