Get an interest savings account with a fixed positive interest rate of up to +2.25%. The interest savings account is for you who want more positive interests and are willing to bind your money for 6 months, 1 year, or 3 years.

Higher interest rates - depending on the package you choose

The interest rate depends on the package you have and how long you bind your money.

The interest is calculated annually and paid out monthly. In the app, you can calculate your interest and thus see how much you earn when you deposit up to 1,000,000 DKK.

How to create a savings account

It's quick and easy to create a savings account. Just follow these steps:

  1. Open the Lunar app.

  2. Click on the Discover tab.

  3. Scroll down and click on Savings Account.

  4. Press Create account.

  5. You must now enter the amount you want to deposit. You can deposit between 25,000 DKK and up to 1,000,000 DKK.

  6. Press Continue.

The savings account is now created, and you can add money to the savings account until it is locked at the end of the month.

How to terminate a savings account

If you need to terminate your savings account early, you can do so. However, there is a fee of 4% for early termination.

You terminate it by doing the following:

  1. Open the Lunar app.

  2. Click on the Explore tab.

  3. Click on Savings Account.

  4. Select the account you want to terminate and press Close.

The account will now be closed after 31 days. Note that it may also take up to 31 days for the money to be transferred to your primary account.

FAQ

How many savings accounts can I have?

You can create as many savings accounts as you like. However, you can only create a new savings account when the other savings account is locked.

The account will be locked at the end of the month in which the savings account is created.

Which account will the interest be paid to each month?

The interest will first be paid to your savings account, and then it will be deposited into your primary account.

Can I get a different interest rate if I upgrade to a different subscription?

No. Once the savings account is locked, the interest rate does not change. So even if you upgrade to a different subscription while having an active savings account, it does not mean that the interest you receive on the savings account will change.

Here's an example: If you've been a Standard user for a year, you will not get an increase from +2.00% to + 2.25% for the last two years, even if you upgrade to Plus.
