80 days before your physical card expires, you will receive a message in your app that it is about to expire.

If you have a paid Lunar subscription (Standard, Plus, Unlimited), you will automatically receive a new card for free, without having to do anything.

If you have our free subscription (Light), you have the option to refuse to have a new card delivered. If you do not refuse, a card will be delivered to your registered address. This incurs a delivery fee of 59 DKK.

From the time you receive the message, you will have 13 days to respond to the message. The message can be found at the top of your app, and it will be visible every time you log in during the 13 days — so you can't risk accidentally removing it.

If you decline a physical card, it will no longer be usable after its expiration date.

Of course, you can still use the digital cards as usual.

We recommend switching to digital cards

We do this for several reasons.

  • The digital card is the safer choice, as they change the CVC code every hour. This means that it is difficult for others to exploit your payment information, as they change so often.

  • In addition, we are doing the planet a favour by saving everything from transport to plastic.

  • And of course, it's incredibly difficult (impossible, actually) to steal a digital card from your pocket.
